Why Choose Exclusive Arms And Brass

In times of personal loss, the last thing anyone needs is to deal with the hassles of endless legal forms and red tape. We are here to help ensure that any firearms or ammunition left behind by your loved ones are quickly and legally stored in line with the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000. We are able to collect estate firearms anywhere in the Gauteng area and can arrange for authorized transportation from other provinces. We will store the firearms with the care they deserve in our certified and secure storage facility. By default we will do a quick inspection of the firearm and ensure it is adequately oiled and protected against rust so it can be safely stored for periods of time.

We then ensure that the required SAPS paperwork is completed and submitted to our local SAPS station and any additional notifications are correctly sent to the Central Firearms Registry. We can advise the estate executor and/or beneficiaries on the steps required to take over a firearm and assist with sale or transfer of the firearm.

Being members of the South African Arms & Ammunitions Dealers Association (SAAADA) and the South African Arms & Ammunition Collectors Association (SAAACA) we are able to inspect and evaluate firearms for historic significance and provide an estimate of current market values. We can also advise on the best firearms licence category that can be considered by a beneficiary, should he/she plan to licence the firearm in their name.

The main differentiator we believe we have is that everyone in our team has a genuine passion for firearms and as such we will strive to give you quick, honest and detailed feedback on all topics around your estate firearms, including regular updates the status of ongoing licencing or transfer applications. If in doubt, just get in touch and we will be happy to advise, which is always free of charge and any commitments.

Fees

We strive for a simple and transparent fee structure, e.g. if the firearms are to be stored with us, the firearms can be collected in the Gauteng area free of charge and the basic costs will be R500 for six months storage plus R100 for the change of ownership paperwork with SAPS (R600 total).
